5 on 5: A Family Hike

As we are nearing the end of Christmas break, we have spent more time in our pjs than not, and more time on ipads and the new wii game that I care to admit. So we rounded up the kids, put on warm clothes, and headed to Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA). This was our first visit to LLELA and we all really enjoyed it. We only went on a short hike (a mile hike with kids takes forever!) but we will for sure be going back to check out the other trails. One of the highlights was visiting an old homestead. Matthew said he was glad he didn't live back then because he didn't want to live in a log cabin. John said one of the houses was dark, asking 'where are the lights'? Definitely a good learning experience for these little kids! The boys even indulged me when I asked for a family photo, putting to use my new pocket pod bean bag Brad got me for Christmas!

These photos are part of a documentary project: 5 on 5. Please be sure to go to Eboni's blog to view her five photos.

Don't forget...go to Eboni's blog and then click through the rest of the group's photos!
