Say Yes to the Dress: 2nd Edition
This summer Brad and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary with a trip to San Fransisco. While we are out there, we are having our photos taken to update our wedding photos 10 years ago...back when we were young, kidless, well rested, and with a little less fluff around my middle. My mom and sisters accompanied me to morning of dress shopping to find the perfect dress for the photos, much like 10 years ago when we shopped for the perfect dress for the wedding. This particular morning started with quite the thunderstorm, the boys and I crowded in the closet for a spring break tornado warning, and a power outage at the girl's preschool which meant my Dad was watching 5 kids at home while us gals shopped. So, thankfully I found a dress at the first stop and we were back home lickety-split. Another plus was I didn't leave depressed that nothing fit me and my post-preggo belly so I call the whole event a success. (I will let it slide that no one asked 'Jennifer, are you saying yes to the dress?!'...and only because I forgot until Brad asked if someone said that while we were shoppnig). I had a wonderful morning with just us girls and was reminded how lucky I am to have such sweet family members who make each other laugh until we pee our pants...not that that happened...today... And special thanks to my sister Allison for letting me hand over the camera for her to take over photographer duty!

February's 5 on 5
For this installment of the project 5 on 5, I decided to share a couple photos of when I caught the boys on camera using their imagination in an adorable way. We had tent poles out and they decided to pretend to fish off the second story landing which looks into the living room downstairs. They were having so much fun so I grabbed the camera. I also asked Brad to grab the ladder so I could try to get some photos from different perspectives. The whole play time was short lived because of a broken pole, but did end on a high note when they caught tootsie rolls supplied by Daddy.

A Wednesday Morning - blog circle
Last week my parents watched Thomas for a little while as I was photographing a friend's family. Once I was done with my session I met them at Thomas' gymnastic class followed by a quick lunch out. Usually Thomas and I go straight home from gymnastics so a lunch with Grandma and Grandpa was a nice treat! Thomas and my dad passed the time by doing patterns with sugar packets. After lunch we burned off a smidge of energy in the grassy area before heading back home for naps before getting the big boys from school. Our Wednesdays are very laid back at this point in our lives and I am thankful for the easy day with Thomas and love the special visits from my parents!

Mom and Dad Part 2
A while back I posted photos of my parents and their hobbies. This is the second part of their session where I tagged along on their morning out of antiquing and lunch. As soon as I stepped foot in the antique store I realized why my parents have so much stuff around their house. My dad's workshop looks like one big antique store! Antiquing and lunch very accurately depicts my parents- they both love antiques and my dad never misses a lunch! Since I never shared these photos, here they are!
